Of course, HoYoverse hasn’t announced any official confirmation yet but here is all that we know about Honkai Star Rail 3.1 release date and characters.
Honkai Star Rail is set to launch one of its biggest destination planets ever in its history in version 3.0: Amphoreus. The world is supposed to expand even further with subsequent patches and updates, with new characters, maps, banners, etc, flooding in. The latest leaks have revealed that two new characters could join the roster in HSR patch 3.1.
Honkai Star Rail 3.1 Release Date
HoYoverse follows a 42-day (6 week) cycle when releasing new versions. Barring any last-minute delays, we can expect February 26, 2025 to be Honkai Star Rail 3.1 release date. This would also be the date when first phase starts. Then the second phase would follow three weeks later, on March 19, 2025.
Honkai Star Rail 3.1 Characters and Drip Marketing
HSR has had a time-honored tradition of putting out drip marketing campaigns before any major release. Following that trend, we can speculate that the character announcements for Honkai Star Rail version 3.1 could commence from December 31, 2024.
The Amphoreus characters are rumored to be 5-star units so two characters should be expected to be released while this campaign transpires.
Coming to the juicy part of the leak, the two characters are rumored to be Mydei and Tribbie. The version 2.7 livestream suggests that these two characters have the strongest chance of being announced. This announcement would happen over two days before Jaunary 1, 2025.

We have the dates and timings of the drip marketing campaign below to help you get a better understanding:

Mydei and Tribbie are rumored to be unique in terms of their skill sets and character designs. The online community is already in a flurry over these two characters, searching for any scrap of information they can lay their hands on.
However, we’ll leave you with a cavaet. If we don’t mince our words, these leaks are essentially guesswork. No matter with how much confidence it is put forth, there is always a possibility this information is false or incomplete. So we recommend pinning your hopes on Mydei or Tribbie only after you’ve received official word from the developers.
