Honkai Star Rail is about a month out from one of its biggest updates till date: patch 3.0. This is when the fifth major destination will be revealed, planet Amphoreus. Leaks about the characters, LCs, paths, scenery and pretty anything you can think of this planet have been pouring in since a long time now. The latest ones talk about the treasure chests in Amphoreus, allowing players to hazard a guess about the size of the planet.
Leaks speculate the number of treasure chests in Amphoreus in HSR
The region called Eternal Holy City Okhema is supposed to host the maximum number of treasure chests, numbering up to 50. This is maximum anywhere in Amphoreus.
Next up, the leaked region Bloodbathed Battlefront in Castrum Kremnos will hold around 41 treasure chests. In the same place, a different region called Strife Ruins will shelter 40 chests. The Abyss of Fate Janusopolis will have 34 treasure chests. Interestingly, the last leaked region of version 3.0, Vortex of Genesis, will only have two treasure chests. Of course, subsequent patches will increase the total number by adding more regions to Amphoreus.
For those of us unfamiliar with Honkai Star Rail’s statistics, a region having 50 treasure chests is a big deal. Until now, players have felt that even zones rumored to house 40 chests are unmanageably large in terms of exploration. This fact just brings to light the sheer size of Amphoreus.
Other Features in Honkai Star Rail 3.0
Another current leak talks about dinosaur mounts in Honkai Star Rail as a means of transport. Even if we assume that this facility is available only in select regions in the game, it is still shocking that the maps are large enough to merit an additional means of transportation.
Penacony and Xianzhou Luofu have increased substantially in size since their release over subsequent patches in the past two years. If this trend continues with Amphoreus, by the time HoYoverse has moved on to the next destination, this planet would be the biggest map till date in Honkai Star Rail, eclipsing every other region in terms of size.
Well, this large number of treasure chests in Honkai Star Rail begs the question of finding it: locating 50 chests would require a massive effort, so will it be worth it? But the developers have thought of that too. Apparently, The Herta, a playable character set to release in patch 3.0, will possess treasure-finding capacities. Of course, those who don’t own the character yet would still struggle.
Overall, while the community is excited to hear this news, the numbers mentioned in the leak could easily be wrong or incomplete. The developers might even decide to change them a few days before the release. Either way, it’s best to take such information with a pinch of salt.
