A Grounded Ascent is the name of HSR Sunday signature lightcone. And thanks to leaks, we even know the stats, effects, and materials of this LC.
In Honkai Star Rail (HSR), players are buzzing about a new character named Sunday, set to be released in version 2.7. Along with this new 5-star, there’s also a lot of excitement around Sunday signature Light Cone, called A Grounded Ascent. Thanks to some leaks, we now have a sneak peek at its stats, effects, and the materials you’ll need to level it up.
HSR Sunday Signature Lightcone: A Grounded Ascent Stats and Effects
A Grounded Ascent is a 5-star Light Cone designed for Harmony characters. It’s especially suited for Sunday, who belongs to the Imaginary Harmony path. The base stats for this Light Cone look impressive:
- HP: 1164
- Attack: 476
- Defense: 529
This HSR Sunady Light Cone is all about boosting the team’s damage and helping with energy recovery. According to the leaks, when the wearer uses their Skill or Ultimate on an ally, they regenerate 6 Energy (or 8 Energy if it’s upgraded to Superimposition 5), and the targeted ally gets a Hymn stack for two turns. Each Hymn stack increases the ally’s damage by 15% (or 24% at max level). This buff can stack up to three times, which means the more you use Skills or Ultimates, the more powerful your teammates become!
There’s also a handy bonus where after every two uses of Skills or Ultimates on an ally, the Light Cone wearer recovers one Skill Point, making this an ideal Light Cone for support characters.
Materials Needed to Upgrade HSR Sunday’s Lightcone
To level up this Light Cone, you’ll need various materials. Here’s what the leaks suggest:
- 4 Firmament Notes
- 12 Celestial Sections
- 15 Heavenly Melodies
- 20 Tatters of Thought
- 20 Fragments of Impression
- 14 Shards of Desires
- 385,000 Credits
You can farm materials like Firmament Notes and Heavenly Melodies from the Crimson Calyx Bud of Harmony: The Reverie. And defeating enemies in the Memory Zone allows you to collect other materials, such as Tatters of Thought and Shards of Desires.
Well, Sunday’s character has been a long time coming, and players are excited about finally being able to play as him. He’s the main villain from the Penacony Trailblazing mission, and fans have been waiting eagerly for his release. There’s even some fun speculation about how HoYoverse teased his release with drip marketing. Although many players wished they had announced him on an actual Sunday for the extra joke!
If you’re planning to have the best Sunday build, this Light Cone will be perfect for him. With A Grounded Ascent, Sunday can cast his Ultimate more frequently, since it helps recover energy faster. Plus, the extra damage buffs for allies make Sunday a key support character for boosting your team’s overall performance in battles.

So, with Sunday and his A Grounded Ascent Light Cone coming soon, Honkai Star Rail 2.7 update is shaping up to be an exciting update. Whether you’re after his powerful Harmony buffs or just want to collect materials to max out his gear, there’s plenty to look forward to.
