Honkai Star Rail’s next destination, Amphoreus, is bringing a whopping twelve new characters to the table. If you’re ready to leave Penacony behind and dive into this Greek mythology-inspired world, here’s everything you need to know about these new Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Characters and what makes them special.
What is Amphoreus in Honkai Star Rail?
Amphoreus is a mysterious, uncharted planet that’s barely known across the universe. The Astral Express is heading there, hoping to solve some big energy crisis. But this isn’t just another pretty location. It’s darker, grittier, and packed with action, with a lot of Greek myth-inspired elements and characters.
During the Version 2.7 livestream, we got a teaser trailer titled “Amphoreus’ Saga of Heroes”. It gave us a glimpse of Amphoreus’ gloomy vibe and introduced 12 new characters, known as the Chrysos Heirs. These Honkai Star Rail 3.0 characters have some intense backstories tied to a prophecy about battling gods and preserving their world. Out of the twelve, eight have been revealed, and four remain a mystery.
Meet the Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Characters
Here’s a quick rundown of the characters we know so far:
1. Aglaea: She’s a 5-star lightning user and part of the Remembrance path. Known as the Goldweaver, she’ll be your guide in Amphoreus and uses a new summon mechanic called Memosprites. She’s confirmed to be playable in Version 3.0.
2. Tribbie: This mysterious character might have multiple personalities or be triplets. She’s linked to the Harmony path with Quantum damage and is expected in Version 3.1.
3. Mydei: Also called Mydeimos the Undying, this warrior screams power. He’s a Destruction character with Imaginary damage and will debut in Version 3.1.
4. Castorice: The Hand of Shadow ties her, creating a haunting connection to the River Styx. As a 5-star Quantum character in the Remembrance path, she will appear in Version 3.2.
5. Anaxa: Dubbed Anaxagoras the Foolish, this scholar-turned-god-slayer is a Nihility character with Ice damage. He’s likely arriving with Castorice in Version 3.2.
6. Hyacine: A mysterious priest who might have healing powers and is linked to severing dawn from dusk. No leaks confirm her abilities yet, but she seems to have a big role in the story.
7. Cipher: This nimble character, also called Cifera the Fleet-Footed, might control time itself. She’s giving off assassin vibes, but her full details remain hidden.
8. Phainon: Known as the Nameless New King, this hero leads the charge on Amphoreus. His design looks a lot like Kevin from Honkai Impact 3rd, which has fans super hyped.
Furthermore, the trailer also teased four shadowy figures, their faces hidden for now. These might be the remaining Chrysos Heirs, but we’ll have to wait for future updates to learn more.
What Makes Amphoreus Special?
Apart from the amazing new characters, Amphoreus feels like a fresh start for Honkai Star Rail. The dark, mythological tone adds depth to the game, and the designs of the characters are heavily inspired by Greek legends. Fans have noticed connections to Honkai Impact 3rd too, making the lore even richer.
