Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Update will introduce a new feature which will allow players to craft Relics with custom stats.
In Honkai Star Rail 3.0 update you’ll finally be able to make Relics and Planar Ornaments with the stats you actually want. If you’ve ever been frustrated trying to get the perfect gear for your characters, this update is going to feel like a lifesaver.
Let me break down everything we know about crafting relics with custom main and sub-stat in HSR.
What’s Changing with Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Update?
Right now, crafting Relics in the game is pretty limited. You can only use something called Self-Modeling Resin to pick the main stat for one Relic. And because this material is super rare, most players save it for the last piece of gear they need. But in HSR 3.0 update, HoYoverse is stepping things up. They’re adding Wishful Resin, which lets you pick sub-stats for your Relics too.
Here’s how it works:
- One Wishful Resin = choose one desired sub-stat.
- Four Wishful Resin = choose two sub-stats for a single piece of Relic.
It’s not a complete free-for-all, but it’s still a huge improvement over hoping the RNG gods are on your side every time you farm.
Rerolling Stats with Variable Dice
Ever farmed a Relic, upgraded it, and ended up with stats you didn’t want? Yeah, that flat DEF stat always seems to show up when you least need it. Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Update is adding another new material called Variable Dice. This lets you reroll the sub-stats on fully upgraded Relics, giving you another chance to make your gear better without starting from scratch.
Basically, this means fewer Relics in the trash bin and more chances to craft your dream setup.
One more cool thing—HoYoverse said you’ll be able to convert Self-Modeling Resin into Wishful Resin. They haven’t told us the exact exchange rate yet, but it’s nice to know that older materials can still be useful.
Now, farming Relics in HSR has always been a bit of a pain. You could spend hours grinding, only to end up with gear that’s not even close to what you need. These new materials, Wishful Resin and Variable Dice, will cut down on the randomness and give players more control over their builds.
It’s not perfect—you’ll still need to farm to get the materials themselves—but it’s a step in the right direction.
Other HSR 3.0 Highlights
The update isn’t just about crafting improvements. HoYoverse is also introducing a new character archetype called the Path of Remembrance. Characters on this path will have a cool new ability called Memosprite, which is like a little summon that helps out in battle. Plus, there’s a new character, Sunday, who buffs summon-based teams, so you might want to grab him if you’re building around Remembrance characters.
Overall, Honkai Star Rail 3.0 is shaping up to be one of the most player-friendly updates yet. The ability to craft Relics with custom main and sub-stats, reroll bad rolls, and convert old materials into new ones will make gearing up your characters way less stressful.
