Honkai Star Rail’s major platform is PC and players who use this are in for a treat. A new leak reports that an improvement is in store for the HSR PC version with the 3.0 update.
Honkai Star Rail PC Version To Support 120 FPS
Coming back to the leak, the speculated update is not related to the gameplay mechanics, but to the display quality. The leak claims that the big upcoming update of Version 3.0 will allow players to experience the gameplay at 120 FPS on the HSR PC version.
Currently, players are forced to use the only available setting, which is 60 FPS. And now the accompanying screenshot on Reddit showed an option that allowed players to choose between 30, 60 and 120 FPS.
The overall reaction to this leak has been positive. But of course, some fans have pointed out that some players were already enjoying a 120 FPS display. They were using third-party tools like Registry Editor. However, others were wary of this approach because of the risk of an inadvertent account ban. Now that this feature would possibly be incorporated officially into Honkai Star Rail, fans have a consensus that it is great news.
What Else is Coming in the HSR 3.0 Update?
But that is not all Honkai Star Rail Version 3.0 has to offer. Other current leaks have suggested that the banner system will be getting a facelift. By that, we mean double the current number of characters in each cycle. At the moment, a typical banner cycle includes two five-star and three four-star units. But Version 3.0 will allegedly feature four five-star characters, raising the count to eight in total. The leaks suggest that the company will experiment with this change and, if successful, will implement it in other HoYoverse titles, including Genshin Impact.
Honkai Star Rail Version 3.0 will introduce two new five-star characters: The Herta and Aglaea. Reports confirm that The Herta will appear in the first banner cycle of Version 3.0 and Aglaea will follow in the second banner cycle. The first phase will go live around mid-January, and the second one might launch around February 7.
As a final caveat, we’d suggest readers take these leaks with a pinch of salt. It’s best to wait for the Honkai Star Rail 3.0 Special Program before you take any piece of information as true.
