The best HSR Sunday and Fugue teams have been revealed by a recent leak from the beta phase having different synergies with different characters.
In Honkai Star Rail’s new update 2.7, two characters, Sunday and Fugue, are getting a lot of attention for how well they work together in teams. Sunday is a 5-star Imaginary-Harmony character, while Fugue is a Fire-Nihility character, and both seem to be a perfect match in many team setups.
The HSR 2.7 banner is expected to launch on December 3, 2024, with Sunday and Fugue releasing in different phases. And here is all that the leaks have revealed about the HSR Sunday and Fugue teams.
HSR Sunday’s Teams and Role
Sunday is one of those characters who likes to help out his team. He’s designed to boost his teammates’ power, just like Bronya in the game, but with some extras. For example, Sunday can charge an ally’s energy with his Ultimate ability, making him a great support character. Even though his speed is a bit slow, he has amazing skills to make up for it. Sunday is great with hypercarry characters (the ones who can deal massive damage), like Robin, Aventurine, or Topaz. His skills make it easier for these powerful characters to stay strong and survive in tough battles.
Some team setups also combine Sunday with other strong damage dealers, like Feixiao, Lingsha, and Firefly. This way, Sunday can boost everyone’s attacks while these characters take the lead on dealing damage. Fugue can also fit into this type of team since her skills have some support qualities as well.

HSR Fugue Teams and How She Fits with Sunday
Fugue is all about “Break Effect” damage. This means she’s skilled at breaking through an enemy’s defenses and dealing extra damage when the enemy’s Toughness is down. Her Skill boosts an ally’s Break Effect, making it easier to deal damage when opponents are weak. She also adds a Fire debuff, which hurts enemies over time. Her Ultimate is great because it can reduce an enemy’s Toughness, even if they aren’t weak to Fire. So, she works really well with Super Break teams, where the goal is to keep breaking the enemy’s defenses.
A good Fugue team features characters like Boothill, Lingsha, and Ruan Mei, known for their Break and DPS (damage per second) skills. According to some leaks, another strong team consists of Rappa, Ruan Mei, Fugue, and Lingsha. They all support each other, and Fugue’s Break effects add a lot to the team’s power. When paired with Sunday, Fugue’s abilities can help keep the team steady and make sure everyone’s attacks hit hard.
How HSR Sunday and Fugue Work Together?
Sunday and Fugue complement each other’s strengths nicely. Sunday boosts his team’s Attack and Critical Damage, making the whole team stronger, while Fugue helps weaken enemies’ defenses. When they’re in the same team, they create a good balance—Sunday supports the main attackers, and Fugue helps break down enemy defenses.
During the beta testing phase, players noticed that Sunday and Fugue, when combined with characters like Boothill, create a pretty solid team. Some people even compare Sunday to a slightly better version of Bronya, especially because his buffs can even work on summons. Though some fans feel Sunday could be a bit stronger, his team-buffing skills still make him useful in many team setups. As for Fugue, her Break abilities make her one of the top choices for teams that rely on dealing consistent damage and breaking down opponents quickly.

Well, the HSR 2.7 update is expected around December 3, 2024. Sunday will likely be in the first phase, while Fugue might arrive in the second. This gives players some time to gather enough resources and plan which characters to go for.
If you’re excited about teaming up Sunday and Fugue, you’ll have a chance to test out their synergy once they’re both available. And since Honkai: Star Rail often balances characters before their full release, the developers still have time to make more tweaks that could enhance Sunday and Fugue for your teams.
