Honkai Star Rail is up for a big update in a few months and its no wonder that a lot of leaks have starting surfacing on the internet. However, among their numbers, some stand out. One such leak is concerning Xilan that is set to the “Expy” of another character.
During the upcoming Amphoreus arc, Xilan will be introduced to Trailblazers. What sets this character apart is that this is the first time an interactable character will get to act as an Expy of someone.
Honkai Star Rail Xilan Speculated to be an ‘Expy’
An Expy in Honkai Star Rail is essentially a character that is based on a person from the real or fictional world and has a unique personality. The leak regarding Xilan imposes this tag of Expy on the character. Coming from a reliable source, Shiroha Leaks, Xilan means “Ripples of the Past.” However, this is not the official EN translation of the CN name. The unknown variable in the leak is who Xilan is supposed to be an Expy of.
The leak also tells us that Xilan will be central to the upcoming destination/planet, Amphoreus, in Honkai Star Rail. This new realm is speculated to release alongside the HSR patch 3.0 in January 2025. This will be one of the biggest updates to the game ever. It will introduce players to The Herta, Aglaea, and a new playable Path, Remembrance.
However, it is important to note that official statements do not mention Xilan anywhere. Most characters related to patch 3.0 will last until version 3.2. So it is possible that Xilan is scheduled for v3.3 or later.
As for the new path, Remembrance, it is expected that characters following it will be able to use summons in fights. Parts of the Remembrance Trailblazer’s kit found its way online and that corrobprates this claim. However, unlike Lingsha and Jing Yuan, this summon will use the characters own HP pool.
